Meatless Day 2025
In celebration of Meatless Day (25/11/2025), we welcomed the Malaysian Meatless Day Campaign Committee and Persatuan Pengajian Sadhu Vaswani for an enlightening talk. The event was supported by the Malaysian Vegetarian Society and hosted by SENTRAL College Penang.
Dr. Kelvin Koay, a general medical practitioner and commissioner of Tzu Chi and Tzu Chi International Medical Association, delivered an engaging session on how adopting meatless habits not only benefits personal well-being but also contributes significantly to environmental sustainability and carbon reduction.
Graced by YB Phee Syn Tze (Penang State Assemblywoman for Sungai Puyu) and Dato’ Pishu Murli Hassaram (World Meatless Day Campaign Committee), alongside green-minded guests such as Ms. Su Pek Fuen (Director of Vitrox Green) and members of the public, the event brought together a vibrant community committed to healthier lifestyles and a greener future.
Attendees left with a deeper understanding of how simple dietary choices can create meaningful change for both personal well-being and the environment. The session also encouraged everyone to embrace mindful, compassionate living as part of a broader sustainability movement.
Every small step counts — for ourselves, our community, and our planet.
