This is the inaugural Dragon Boat Festival that was organised by the USCA. The purpose of the event is to introduce this historical and colourful culture of dragon boat to student and staff who are of different races and creed. At the beginning of the event, the committee members showed a video to the history of the festival. After that, light refreshments were served. This was followed by a dumpling wrapping competition among the students and staff. At the end of the event, the students and staff left with a renewed interest in the dragon boat festival and feelings of enjoyment. |

The “Cleaner Greener Penang” initiative is the road map for Penangnites to restore the living environment as well as to deliver a cleaner and greener city and improve the quality of life. The project was organised by the Penang State Government. SENTRAL was invited to join the event which was held on 18 June 2011 at Straits Quay. The event involved many participating schools, colleges and hotel employees, who gathered together, to clean up the Tanjung Tokong beach front and surrounding areas. |

Community Services by MPM With the collection from the Charity Carnival, MPM on behalf of the Management of SENTRAL College, paid a visit to the homes. Both homes received RM4000 each from SENTRAL College. Besides the handover of the cheques, the homes briefed MPM about the purpose and objectives of running the homes. The MPM interacted with the orphans and the elderly.

MPM and DYBC organised the first Paintball Tournament in SENTRAL College. It took place at the Penang Paintball Sports Centre on 22 May. We had a total of 5 groups consisting of 5 members per group. Before the tournament began, we had experts to brief the students on the rules and regulations of the tournament. After that, the students gathered in their respective groups and discussed on the strategies on attack their rivals. We had good feedback from the students and they enjoyed the competition very much.
