Cite Right, Shine Bright: Mastering Academic Integrity with APA 7th Edition
On 24/4/2026, the School of Education & General Studies, in collaboration with the SENTRAL Library, proudly organised the APA 7th Edition Citation & Referencing Workshop for this semester’s students.
Why does correct citation matter? Beyond avoiding plagiarism, it teaches students responsibility, respect for others’ work, and the value of giving credit where it’s due – core moral principles in both academia and life. Through hands-on examples and clear guidance, students learned how to master in-text citations, reference lists, and avoid common errors. But more than just a skill, they walked away with a deeper sense of academic honesty, self-discipline, and pride in producing original work.
This workshop reflects SENTRAL College Penang’s ongoing commitment to nurturing not just knowledgeable graduates, but responsible, ethical, and successful learners. Together, we build a culture of integrity – one citation at a time.
