Zero Waste Learning: Instilling Eco-Awareness in Young Minds

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours) students recently organized an interactive “Natural Environment: Zero Waste” session at D’Kingdom Kinderland (Farlim). Targeting children aged 3–6, the event introduced sustainable living through fun, hands-on activities centered on reduce, reuse, and recycle.

A highlight was the planting workshop led by the Green Plant Society (GPS), where kids nurtured seedlings, fostering a love for nature. This initiative proves that early environmental education can be both engaging and impactful.

For SENTRAL Students: Learning isn’t confined to classrooms—real-world experiences like this workshop help develop leadership, creativity, and community engagement. Seek out volunteer or collaboration opportunities to grow beyond academics!

Special thanks to D’Kingdom Kinderland (Farlim) and GPS for their support in making this a success.
