The Maths-English Nexus Competition
The School of Education & General Studies successfully organized “The Math-English Nexus Competition: Unlocking Mind, Unlocking Futures” on 14 May 2026 at the Auditorium, Level P, Sentral College Penang. The competition provided a unique platform for students to explore the connection between Mathematics and English through challenging and interactive rounds.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Nur Soffiah and Ms. Noor Suriati, with support from dedicated event crews and staff. It received enthusiastic participation from students, lecturers, and staff, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.
Participants demonstrated excellent teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills while competing in rounds designed to test both mathematical and language abilities. Congratulations to all winners and participating teams for their outstanding effort and sportsmanship.
The programme supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by encouraging meaningful learning experiences and the development of essential 21st-century skills. SENTRAL College Penang looks forward to organizing more engaging competitions and activities to provide students with greater opportunities to explore their talents, creativity, and potential.
