What a great day at SENTRAL College Penang!
On 24 April 2026, the School of Computing successfully organized an Interactive Dashboard Workshop using Microsoft Power BI for our students. A huge thank you to our wonderful lecturer, Dr. Nur Soffiah Sahubar Ali from the School of Education and General Studies, for her clear guidance and encouraging approach.
This beginner-friendly session was all about putting students first. They started from scratch—learning the Power BI interface, importing data, and doing basic data cleaning. Then, step by step, they moved on to creating bar charts, pie charts, tables, and even adding filters and slicers to build interactive dashboards.
The hands-on activities allowed every student to build their own dashboard with continuous support and plenty of practice. By the end, they didn’t just learn a tool—they gained confidence in turning data into stories.
So thankful to everyone who joined and contributed to such a positive, encouraging learning environment. This is only the beginning of their data analytics journey. Keep going, students—you did amazing!
